‍ ‍Rachael Valdez (she/her) is an actress based in the LA/Orange County area of California. She is also a theatre performance major at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. Some of her favorite stage credits include Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Mary Shelley in We Shall Be Monsters, Claire in Ordinary Days, and Ophelia in Hamlet. While theatre is where she feels most at home, she also loves working on camera and has recently appeared as Nora in Preparations and Rachel in Floating Castles.

‍ ‍Beyond performing, Rachael is drawn to creating art in many different forms. She is a founding member of Speaking of Home Productions, where she collaborates on devising theatre, film projects, and educational theatre as a teaching artist. She loves the collaborative process of creating theatre and is always eager to continue her learning from the people she works with.

‍ ‍Outside of performing, Rachael enjoys singing with her band, painting, sewing, and making props. She is happiest when she is creating something with her hands, working alongside other artists, or finding different ways to tell stories.
